Գայլիկ-Արծուիկ Կարգեր
Worldwide, Scouting has a system of ranks in which Scouts learn specific skills in areas around Scouting, physical fitness, citizenship, personal growth and Scout Spirit. Each rank is earned in order, as it progressively teaches more challenging concepts. Earning each rank is a great achievement!
In Homenetmen, Kaileeg and Artsvig groups have their own ranking system, called a Կարգ/“gark”․ There are three Kaileeg and Artsvig Garks: 1) Gagokh Tateek, 2) Miasdgh and 3) Yergasdkh. In addition to scouting knowledge, Homenetmen garks include Armenian history and heritage knowledge to support our mission.
Thank you to the work done by Homenetmen Walnut Creek Gars Chapter, our Gark books include both Armenian and English translations to make this knowledge accessible to all our scouts.
